Big news for our Ukraine Assistance Organization, UAO
First I want to thank all of you that have so generously donated to UAO. Your donations have gotten us to this point where we can make a big impact to the health and well being of Ukrainians. Without your help we would not have been able to extend our services to so many people….and now, UAO has just received almost $100,000 in 3 grants from World Class organizations.
BlueCheck Ukraine led by Jason Cone, former executive director of the US affiliate of DoctorsWithout Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), one of the largest medical humanitarian organizations in the world.
Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, the world’s oldest refugee agency. The organization was formally established as the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society in 1902.
Americares, the health-focused relief and development organization, brought in $1.2 billion in private donations.
These organizations are World Class and the qualification/approval process has been extremely extensive. Each organization has very professional, talented and intelligent staff exceeding any we have worked with in Ukraine. UAO’s work has gained a reputation for excellent, diligent work, and reporting that gained their trust enabling the approval of the grants. Our staff is growing and we have a big announcement next week with one of the best hospital groups in Ukraine to incorporate the use of their doctors with our mobile health teams in remote villages in southern Ukraine.
Also, my heartfelt gratitude to Liza and Anastasia of UAO who have done so much to help achieve this great accomplishment. They did so much of our mobile medical work and then particular expertise in budgeting))…..AND, Jonathan Stokka who worked tirelessly from the beginning to pioneer our mobile health work. We will continue and expand our work to ease the suffering of those affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
